Should your puppy attend classes before they've

completed their vaccinations?

The first several months of a puppy's life are a critical period for learning about the world. The American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior states that, "puppies can start socialization classes as early as 7-8 weeks of age,"

and that "...it should be the standard of care for puppies to receive socialization before they are fully vaccinated."

We require that your puppy receive at least the first round of their parvo vaccine or a titer before their first class and that they receive their rabies vaccine/titer at the age recommended by their veterinarian.

Read the AVSAB position statement below and discuss what's best

for your puppy with your veterinarian.

Weather permitting, we'll even be going on field trips! Note: This class does not include the CGC test or the AKC application fee. This small group class focuses on your concerns and goals. Before the class begins, you’ll be asked to fill out a questionnaire about your dog. The class will cover as many student goals as possible. We limit the class to three dogs to allow for more discussion and individual attention per dog and family.
